School Supplies Drive: Thanks from the NN Team!

Newton Neighbors, in collaboration with The Street Chestnut Hill and The Village Bank, recently conducted their annual school supplies drive for kids of all ages in and around Newton. The drive, held from August 1 to 18 this year, concluded with a popup celebration at Jack’s Abby Beer Garden on The Street.
On August 23 Newton Neighbors volunteers, including kids, gathered to sort and categorize a small mountain of donations: close to 150 backpacks and countless lunch boxes, water bottles, notebooks, pencils, pens and more. Our team also collected gift cards that will further support the individual needs of schoolchildren in our community. These supplies are currently being distributed in coordination with Newton Public School social workers and teachers.
We send a huge thank you to our fabulous partners, our hard-working volunteers, and our wonderful, supportive community! If you are looking for school supplies, please reach out to us at newtonneighborshelping@gmail.com.
